Riding at the Pegasus Centre

The Pegasus Centre is a wonderful facility, centred on a purpose-built, BHS-accredited, Riding School and Livery stable, surrounded by acres of grassland.

We are committed to providing excellent opportunities for participation in equestrian and other leisure pursuits and for the development of skills. We believe in ‘ability’, not ‘disability’, and encourage everyone who comes to the Pegasus Centre to discover talents they may not have known they had and to develop their skills and confidence.

In our Riding School our instructors, staff and volunteers are dedicated to ensuring that all our riders receive a high standard of professional tuition that is tailored to suit their personal capabilities and help them achieve their potential. Equally importantly we want all our riders to enjoy their experience and have fun!

The Pegasus Centre was designed with the needs of riders with disabilities in mind and our staff and volunteers are trained to be aware of the needs of riders with disabilities. At the same time our facilities are equally suited to the needs of riders, whether novices or experienced, with no disabilities.

How much does it cost?

dscf0886All our lessons are competitively priced, with subsidised instruction for riders with disabilities.
Our volunteers also have access to cut-price lessons as a ‘thank you’ for their efforts in supporting the Pegasus Centre.

Meet the team

Whilst the ponies are obviously the most important team members when it comes to providing lessons, they do like a bit of help from  the human members of our team.

All of our friendly staff and volunteers are well qualified and have plenty of experience that means that they are able to make riding lessons at the Pegasus Centre a positive and enjoyable experience.
